Photography: Drive@UCR Fall Meet #3

Sorry it took a while to get this one out. I've been quite busy as of late!

Here's the photos from Drive@UCR's Fall Meet #3, which was just this past Wednesday on 10/26/11! A few more new faces showed up, as well as the usual crowd from the previous meets. Unfortunately I was not able to get shots of everyone's rides this time, as a good number of the members arrived around ten pm, which was right when I had to leave.

Lotus! Look at that cute tow hook!

Which one do you think looks nicer?

 Colormatched wheels :D

Barry is everywhere.

And it shows; Tire with wire!

Photography: Adam's Motorsports Park with Drive@UCR

Every Tuesday between 6pm-9pm Adam's Motorsports Park has an open track for the general public, and this past Tuesday on 10/25/11 some Drive@UCR members decided to go. Here's a sneak preview of just how the day went!

 Ready to go!

Photography: New Equipment :)

So in the past week or so, I've come across some novelty equipment from storage back at home. My dad used to be into photography, and came up to me with several polarizers and an external flash. To be more precise, it was a Sicor 58mm polarizer, Hoya 52mm yellow and 55mm red polarizers, and an Aroma 55mm yellow polarizer.

The above are just online pics, not the actual ones that i have.

The external is a Canon Speedlite 155A; archaic, I know, but it still works, and is far better than the built in flash. Now I just need to build a soft-box. The metering has to be done manually, but that's not much of a problem, because it's quite simple to use, after a minute of experimentation.

Flash works quite well, but there's no way to angle the flash. Need a custom soft-box stat1!

I have also upgraded to a Class 6 16gb SDHC card! Now I can take all my pics in raw+jpg format. Joy!

I will be incorporating all of the new stuff where it is deemed necessary, and I am definitely looking forward to using them. Lets see what they can do!

Photography: Imports@CPP Meet of the Year Photos [Part II]

And here it is, the second set of photos freshly edited and ready to go. Again, it was a great meet. I liked the various decals repping their respective forums, brands, etc. I also hope I got the majority of the cars; some people decided to leave before I could get a shot of their whip. Next time!

Played with a good amount of DOF with this one. As mentioned, the 50mm f/1.8 prime works wonders.

P.S. Someone recommended that I leave captions BELOW the picture instead of above; so here goes :P

 Cute Wall-E!

Love the diffuser here.
